The art of presentation and newscasting... a workshop at Beni Suef Mass Communication

Within the framework of the training plan of the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University, and within the framework of the faculty's efforts to develop students' practical skills, the Radio and Television Department organized today, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, a workshop entitled "The Art of Presentation and Presenting News Bulletins", under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makkawi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs and Head of the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty.  Mr. Muhammad Jamal, news anchor on Al-Hadath News Channel and presenter of programs on Al-Hayat Satellite Channel, lectured in the presence of a large number of faculty members, assistant staff, and students.

During the workshop, Mr. Jamal discussed the requirements for reading the news bulletin, voice exercises, breathing, lip and tongue movement, pronunciation of letters, etc., as well as eye exercises and how to look at the camera.

Mr. Mohamed also discussed the factors that a newscaster must take into account, such as being familiar with current events and learning foreign languages ??in addition to his mother tongue, so that this will help him when dealing with any phone call or mentioning the names of foreign figures, cities, capitals and places.

At the end of the workshop, the students applied what was covered practically. Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz El Sayed, Dean of the faculty , and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makkawi, the trainer, were honored for their efforts to help prepare well for the graduation of a comprehensive student and media professional, wishing him continued success and progress.
