The Journalism Department Faculty of Mass Communication ,Beni Suef University , participates in the Sixth Journalists Syndicate Conference

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz El Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Noha El Abd, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Nisreen Hossam El Din, Head of the Journalism Department, a delegation of faculty members and students from the Journalism Department participated in the activities of the Sixth General Conference of the Journalists Syndicate.

The delegation consisted of Dr. Amani Abdel Rahman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism, Dr. Amani Hamdy, Dr. Naglaa Jaafar, and Dr. Jihad Abdel Maqsoud, lecturers in the department.


Faculty members and students attended discussion sessions and training workshops that discussed professional and organizational issues interested of the journalism profession. Also , the challenges facing journalists have been discussed, including: freedom of the press and journalists.. difficult conditions and necessary legislative interventions, challenges of administrative reform and the work environment in Egyptian newspapers, ways of financial and economic reform in press institutions and newspapers, the future of journalism in the age of artificial intelligence, means of improving journalists' wages and correcting their financial situations, the desired journalistic content between freedom and responsibility, mechanisms for developing content and problems of the digital revolution, the newspaper financing crisis.. ways to increase revenues and reduce expenses, new visions for freedom of publication and publishing in Egypt, partisan and suspended newspapers.. the crisis and paths to solutions, reading and presentation of the results of the sixth general conference questionnaire.

It is worth noting that this conference is not the first conference in which students of the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University, have participated. They have previously attended many conferences that help them acquire skills related to the profession, qualify them for the journalistic labor market, familiarize them with its ethical standards, and raise their awareness of the challenges they will face in the future.
