Discussion of the first master's thesis for the News Journalism Program at Beni Suef Mass Communication

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, the Faculty witnessed today, December 23, 2024, the discussion of the first master's thesis for the academic master's program "News Journalism Program", which reflects the development of the Faculty in the field of scientific research and the strengthening of its academic position at the level of Egyptian universities.

The thesis prepared by researcher Tony Ahmed Othman, entitled “Sports websites and their relationship to shape the public’s mental image,” addressed the role of digital media in shaping societal awareness of sports issues.

The discussion and judging committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz El Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University, as Chairman and examiner, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Hossam El Din Abdel Razek El Hawary, Assistant Professor of Sports Administration at the Faculty of Physical Education and agent of the Institute of Longevity Elderly Sciences (examiner), and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rasha Adel, Dean of the Humanities Sector at the National University in Beni Suef, and Prof. Dr. Mona Hashem, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism at the Faculty. The committee praised the researcher’s efforts and the scientific level of the thesis. The discussion concluded with the committee’s recommendation to award the researcher a Master’s degree with an excellent grade.

In this context, Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty , stated that discussing the first academic master’s thesis for the Faculty is a milestone in its history, stressing that the Faculty will continue to support researchers to conduct research that contributes to developing the media field. He also pointed to the Faculty’s plan to expand academic and professional postgraduate programs.
