In Response to the Warnings Issued by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority… Faculty of Mass Communication Beni Suef University Holds the Workshop “Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Digitally Secure Media”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Hamada Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nesreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Noha El-Talawy, Head of the Department of Public Relations, the Department of Public Relations and Advertising organized an online workshop entitled “Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Digitally Secure Media.” This was held in light of the warning issued by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority regarding widespread cyber breaches and attacks affecting more than 150 countries, including Egypt, in recent days.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. David Kamal Tawfik, Information Systems Engineer at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Sadat City University, and an accredited trainer by the Supreme Council of Universities for digital transformation. He reviewed the key principles of electronic protection, methods for detecting cyberattacks, and ways to secure digital accounts and platforms for professionals working in the media and academic fields.
It is worth noting that this event comes as part of the efforts of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University to enhance digital security and raise students’ awareness of the growing cyber threats, thereby contributing to the preparation of a generation of media professionals capable of working safely and efficiently in the digital environment.
