Beni Suef University Faculty of Mass Communication Hosts a Training Workshop on the Professional Use of LinkedIn

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Dr. Fatma Hanafy, Director of the Career Development Center, the Faculty of Mass Communication hosted a training workshop entitled “Professional Use of the LinkedIn Platform.” The workshop was held at the Faculty’s Multimedia Lab and targeted staff members working in the Graduate Studies and Research sector at the University, within the framework of the University’s commitment to developing professional skills and building employees’ digital identity.

The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Yasser Gaber, Scientific Advisor to the University President and Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Ismail Selim, Deputy Director of the Career Development Center. They highlighted the importance of LinkedIn as an effective tool for both academic and administrative professionals, emphasizing its role in expanding professional networks, accessing development opportunities, and enhancing academic and research presence.

The workshop addressed the key elements of building a professional LinkedIn profile, including the profile picture, cover photo, professional headline, summary, work experience, educational background, skills, achievements, and recommendations. It also provided practical guidance on using professional language, selecting relevant keywords aligned with the nature of work, and maintaining regular updates to the profile.
