Beni Suef Mass Communication Women's Research Center explains best practices for safe online browsing

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz El Sayed, Dean of the College, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Noha El Abd, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Women’s Research and Studies Center, headed by Dr. Amani Hamdy, organized Today, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, a workshop entitled "Best Practices for Safe Browsing", presented by Ms. Amani Qalaoun, News Editor. The workshop covered the definition of common digital threats, phishing, spyware, social engineering, how to manipulate individuals to reveal confidential information, and data breaches to gain unauthorized access or disclosure of sensitive and confidential data Umniah also explained the best practices for safe online browsing to avoid malicious websites and online fraud, and explained mobile phone security, explaining how to protect against cyber extortion The workshop concluded with honoring the trainer by Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz, Dean of the College, and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makkawi, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, who extended their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Amani Hamdy, Director of the Center, the trainer, and the attendees
