Beni Suef Mass Communicatio participates in an awareness seminar as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty; and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdel Rahim Darwish, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, a delegation from the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University, participated in the activities of the 16 Days Campaign to End Violence Against Women. The campaign included a seminar entitled “Awareness, Compassion, and Peace,” organized by the Anti-Violence Unit at Beni Suef University in cooperation with the National Council for Women – Beni Suef Branch.
The Faculty was represented by Dr. Rehab El-Sherif, Lecturer at the Radio and Television Department, along with the students Fatma Ali Hassan Mohamed (Fourth Year – Radio), Renad Ahmed Bahaa El-Din (Fourth Year – Radio), and Amira Mamoun El-Emam (Fourth Year – Public Relations).
The seminar aimed to promote a culture of awareness of women’s rights and to reduce negative practices that affect their status within society. It addressed the various forms of violence against women, including psychological, physical, and social violence, and highlighted the serious consequences thereof on women, the family, and society. The seminar also emphasized women’s right to empowerment, protection, and human dignity.
In this context, Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy affirmed that the participation of the Faculty of Mass Communication stems from its role in raising awareness of women’s issues, shedding light on the dangers of gender-based violence, and reaffirming its mission to support society with noble human values and sound practices.
