Students of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University Present Their Documentary Projects in the International Media Course

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Hamada Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and under the supervision of Dr. Nesreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty organized the closing ceremony of the documentary works for the International Media course.

The ceremony featured the screening of a number of creative projects produced by students during the academic semester, reflecting their practical and creative skills in the field of documentary media production. The projects were supervised by Professor Dr. Mohamed Zein, former Dean of the Faculty and course professor, and Dr. Yosra Akoush, Lecturer at the Journalism Department. The event was attended by Mr. Mohamed Ali Khalifa, General Director of the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.

During the event, students presented nine diverse projects addressing social, cultural, and environmental topics, including the project “A Safe Haven Toward Zero Carbon” for environmental preservation; “Conditional Survival” in support of Egyptian identity; the film “Youssef” discussing pottery; “The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Historical Development”; the film “A Mission of a Different Kind” aimed at spreading happiness; “Unfinished Dreams” raising awareness of the importance of reporting violence against children; “A Groan: The Voice of the Voiceless” emphasizing the importance of animal protection; the project “Working Hands Are Earning and Satisfied”; in addition to a brochure highlighting jobs at risk in the era of artificial intelligence and the dangers of online betting.

It is worth noting that this ceremony comes within the Faculty’s commitment to developing students’ practical capabilities, enhancing their creative skills, and empowering them to address various societal issues through documentary media.
