Public Relations and Advertising Department Organizes an Online Workshop on Natural Language Processing and Sentiment Mining

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty; and Professor Dr. Islam Othman, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, under the supervision of Dr. Noha El-Talawy, Head of the Department, organized an online workshop targeting postgraduate students and researchers entitled: “Natural Language Processing and Sentiment Mining: Research Tools for Analyzing Big Data in Academic Studies.”
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Taher Mohamed Mohamed, a researcher in digital journalism, artificial intelligence, and data analysis, and was attended by a number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and postgraduate students.
During the workshop, Dr. Taher reviewed the concept of sentiment analysis in a practical manner and provided a comprehensive hands-on explanation of the latest tools and techniques through which in-depth analytical results can be extracted in the field of big data analysis.
It is worth noting that this workshop is part of a series of practical workshops scheduled to be held within the framework of the department’s training plan, which aims to enhance the skills of the department’s faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
